Farmy

Created for UDC Jam 38 - Theme: Wrong Tool for the Job

Recently promoted and now reassigned, you've inherited the honor of being the military base's farmer. Using your trusty gun (because why use tools when you have a gun), plow your way to success by growing and harvesting various crops. Unfortunately, the local dragon population might not be very understanding of your endeavors.

Note: Web performance is much worse than windows, so if you have a low framerate I highly suggest the downloadable version.

Controls

• WASD - Move
• Right Click - Aim weapon
  
• Left Click (While Aiming) - Shoot weapon
• 1-9 - select Toolbar slot
• Q/E or Middle Mouse - Select next/previous item on the toolbar
• Tab - Open menu
• F11 - Toggle Fullscreen

Tips

• As you unlock and plant higher level crops, you'll attract higher level dragons. Make sure to keep up to date with your upgrades to ensure you can successfully harvest your crops.
• There are 20 treasure chests hidden around the map if you get tired of farming. Each one you open -- using your gun, obviously -- will reward you with $50.
• Be sure to water and fertilize your crops! Your crops need water to grow, and fertilizer will increase the rater at which they grow even further.
• Dragons will only spawn while you have crops planted.
• Only burst bullets are effective at damaging dragons.
• If you complete the quest, you'll earn yourself a unique weapon skin! 🙄

Bullets

• [1] Burst - Used to till soil and harvest crops. Also used to damage those pesky dragons.
• [2] Water - Used to water soil and put out fires.
• [3] Fertilizer - Used to mix fertilizer into the soil to increase the rate at which crops grow.

Crops - Pre-upgrade Values

• [4] Onion / Yields 2-4 / Grows in 40s / Sells for 10 each
• [5] Carrot / Yields 2-4 / Grows in 80s / Sells for 25 each
• [6] Corn / Yields 4-6 / Grows in 64s / Sells for 15 each
• [7] Beet / Yields 2-4 / Grows in 32s / Sells for 16 each
• [8] Broccoli / Yields 1-3 / Grows in 160s / Sells for 145 each
• [9] Pepper / Yields 4-6 / Grows in 100s / Sells for 40 each
